Spectrum Consulting Turns 7 Years Old

By admin • November 7th, 2008

Spectrum Consulting is celebrating 7 years in business today. The company was first established on 7th November 2001 in Auckland. Spectrum has enjoyed consistent growth and now boasts a firm and reputable standing in the industry.
There have been many changes and challenges in the market since 2001 and Spectrum has adapted and changed with the times to where we are today. The Servers we support have been through several branding changes through the years. From RS/6000 to eServer pSeries in 2000 as part of IBM’s e-Server branding initiative. With the advent of the POWER5 processor in 2004 the family was rebranded the eServer p5. With the global move of the server and storage brands to the System brand with the Systems Agenda, the family was renamed yet again to System p5 in 2005 and after that the new models were released under the System p brand. Now with the Power 6 processors and AIX v6 with the convergence of the OS/400 /eServer i5 / iSeries /System i things have changed again to POWER systems.
Through all these changes we have remained constant and still delivering top level service for our loyal and valued customers.
